Testimonials
- TPM is an excellent resource for students and teachers in the
field of philosophy. -- DP
- I thoroughly enjoy TPM and have recently persuaded
our Common Room Committee to add it to their periodical subs - it
seemed an appropriate way to bring philosophy to our wider academic
community! -- HM
- Your magazine is a hit with our philosophy
department and possibly quite a few others. -- JD
- I have just received my first issue (Issue
9). Thus far I have really enjoyed it...your articles are outstanding.
-- BM
- TPM Issue 10 - Congratulations on another excellent
issue. -- CR
- I wanted to tell you how much I love reading
TPM. I happened to find it on the internet one night and subscribed
to it. I love philosophy and have been searching for publications
like it for a while. I always look forward to reading the next issue.
-- JV
- Congratulations on a brilliant initiative!
-- RC
- Having retired after 35 years of teaching philosophy,
I am only now reconnected to the Internet and to TPM Online from
my home. I have requested back issues and a 2-year subscription.
Issue No. 5 sold me on your publication. -- HM
- My first issue of TPM arrived the same day
I had to go the hospital. I wasn't expecting either event. Anyhow,
when I came off the Sodium Pentothal, your magazine kept me from
boredom and made my stay in my hospital bed bearable. -- MB
- Only today did I discover your magazine (in
Waterstones' bookshop in Camden Town). I did a philosophy degree
in the seventies and your magazine cheered me up no end. I have
very little doubt that I will subscribe to it. I have very little
doubt that I will enjoy it as long as it continues pretty much in
its present form and content (containing wit and warmth as well
as philosophy). Thanks very much indeed for giving us something
much needed. -- PW
- I am, quite simply, bowled over by your eminently
readable journal. Keep up the
good work! -- RN
- I think your magazine is great......really
useful for the general reader or undergraduates
like myself. -- DW
- I am highly impressed with your magazine! I
appreciate your broad coverage -- you seem to provide a topic or
philosopher for just about everyone! -- VB
- I've been reading Issue 3 of the magazine and
must say I think it is very good. It strikes a good balance between
being accessible to a wider public and yet remaining interesting
to philosophers. -- TH
- You have managed to put together a great magazine
and a great website. -- JF
- A great strength of both the magazine and website
is accessibility, physically and intellectually, to all serious-minded
folks from many walks of life. And some humor, too. I hope all your
efforts prove to be successful in advancing the cause of clear thinking
in an age that seems to be turning away from it, if it ever has
turned to it in the first place. -- EC
- I've just started a PhD in Machine Learning
and came across your magazine in a bookshop in London, nestled alongside
some pseudo-scientific postmodernist efforts. It's good to see a
serious and well presented philosophy magazine for a change. --
S
- I came across the site a few days ago and straight
away sent off for a subscription to TPM. There then appeared a letter
in The Guardian from the Magazine's editor, Julian Baggini,
rightly taking issue with a columnist's misuse of logic. Coincidence?...Synchronicity?
An excellent site. -- GG
- I've been reading it this evening and it's
very good. -- AC
