Philosophical Quotations

Welcome to the TPM Online philosophical quotations resource.

*To access the quotations click here*

We are pleased to receive suggestions about quotes for addition to the database. Just contact us here. In order for a quote to be included, it is necessary to include citation information (minimally, we need to know in which book or article the quote appears).

Free Program - Philosophical Quotations for Windows

We have developed a philosophical quotations program that runs on Win95, 98, ME, XP, NT and W2K. It contains some 800 quotations, and it also has the facility to enable you to add your own quotations to its database. It is available for download free of charge. Click here for details and to download the program.

About the resource

At present there are about 800 quotations in our quotations database. Each quote comes with basic information about its source. However, it should be noted that we make no guarantees about the accuracy of this information. So if you're going to use this resource for the purposes of sourcing quotes where accuracy is essential, it should be used as the starting point for further enquiries not as the end point in the research process!

Copyright

These quotations are reproduced under the terms of the 'fair use' provision of international copyright law. However, if you are the copyright holder of a particular quotation and wish us to remove it from the collection, please contact us here and we will do so immediately.
